The Rosemarkie Stone

Tarbat’s very own Dragon Stone, is a remaining fragment of a larger cross slab, which was originally carved over 1,000 years ago. It was found built into the south wall of the crypt. It is double sided and stands 7 cm high.

This miniature has been based on the largest remaining fragment of a 7th - 9th century Pictish standing stone which was discovered on a beach in Easter-Ross after a storm, during the 19th century. This replica is 7cm high. Cost: £11.50 inc p&p

Hilton-of-Cadboll Stone

Based on the stone ploughed up at Barflat, Aberdeenshire and is unique in having a single figure dominating the stone. He has fierce teeth and is carrying a pointed axe. This replica is 7 cm high.
